No. Boga awards grants, not investments. Founders don’t sell shares, issue SAFEs or convertible notes, or give up any ownership or control. Members fund ideas because they want to see them exist, not to buy a piece of them.

No. A grant from Boga is not a loan: there is no repayment, no interest and no revenue share. What we do ask is progress — grant funding is released in milestones, each one reviewed and approved before the next payment, so the pool backs founders who are building.

Anyone with an idea worth funding can pitch — a startup, a product, a community project, a small business. You don’t need a finished product, a company, a pitch deck or traction. A few sentences describing what you want to build and why it matters is enough to join the queue today, and you can flesh it out when doors open.

By member vote. Each grant cycle, the top pitches are placed on a ballot and every member casts one vote — one member, one vote. The pitch with the most votes wins the cycle and receives a grant from the pool, paid out as its milestones are met.
